The World’s First Alcohol Fermented Hot Sauce  Habañero, Jalapeño & Fire Roasted Red Peppers Cask Aged for 4 Months in Scottish Whisky Barrels "We at Chardy’s, are all about respecting the pepper. So we developed a unique double fermentation technique and avoided using vinegar and in order to enhance the fresh fruit character of the Peppers. We can’t emphasise enough just how important the aging process is and as such, it’s not something we are prepared to compromise on. Patience brings its own rewards and the result is a more complex, smoother sauce with a touch of oaky tannins and some whisky magic! Balanced with a touch of smoke by roasting the Peppers on a wood fire, then maturing in Whisky Barrel's to develop the rich complex,  fruity, smoky, tangy signature flavour of our sauce" Power to the pepper! We love what these guys are doing! Currently a 1 year old company based in The Netherlands. Pushing boundaries and creating bold pepper flavours using special wine making techniques to double ferment without the need for vinegars - clever stuff!
